I’ve spent the last month and a half on the road each week. I’ve been to New Jersey twice; Virginia Beach, VA; Daytona Beach, FL; Denver, CO; Kansas City, MO; Dallas, TX; Plano, TX; Wichita Falls, TX; and Tulsa, OK.
I’m working “at home” this week – but that means I can be anywhere. As long as I have Internet access my virtual office can look like this…
Alas, I’ll be heading back to the real homestead today. I’m not sure where I’m traveling next; the current project is winding down.
The one thing I like about traveling throughout the country is that it gives me a glimpse at what people are like in other places. Climate and geography or course change, but the attitudes of people also change. I try to find the ‘local’ hotspots when I travel; not the restaurant chains, but the local places where the ‘real’ people go to eat. The diners, ‘dives’, ‘mom and pop’ shops – these are the places where you can begin to get a feel for what really goes on in a particular area.
